When Do I Repot?
When do I repot? We repot when the plant has outgrown its container (like the first photo,) when the potting media is breaking down (becoming compost,) or when the potting media is becoming sour (smells bad.) Ideally, this coincides when the roots are emerging from the plant stem right at or just below the lowest leaves.Ideally, you do this before it gets too hot or too cold. With proper care, repotting can be done at any time of the year, although late spring is the preferred time. Next: Preparing the plant and Selecting the Right Pot
