I feel that this mating will yield some outstanding flowers. Both awarded in Florida in 2006, you know that these are among the finest of its type. I expect the flowers to be similar to the ones pictured with full form and good coloration.
'Ross' AM/AOS award description reads as follows: "Six flowers and three buds on two strong inflorescences; sepals and petals white, suffused lime green distally, light magenta suffusion basally, lateral sepals overlaid dark magenta along central two-thirds of medial half; lip side lobes yellow, midlobe deep magenta; column magenta, anther cap light pink; substance very heavy; texture crystalline." Natural spread was 5.5 cm by 7.5 cm long.
'Loretta Ross' HCC/AOS award description reads as follows: "Seven flowers and eight buds on four inflorescences on a magnificently grown plant; sepals and petals white flushed green, interior half of sepals and lip deep magenta; column rose, surrounded by rose halo; substance firm; texture crystalline." Natural spread was 6.0 and 7.2 cm long.
