Phal. amboinensis 'yellow' x red will yield fragrant star shaped flowers on compact stems. Pictured is the yellow type. The 'red' type is actually more of a reddish purple than a true red. Stems can continue to flower for years. As one flower fades, another one is forming and a mature plant can be in almost constant flower. Flowering is heaviest during the summer season. Flowers will be like the picture, some more or less yellow, and some will be fuller in form. I expect dark colored bars from this strain. Flower size will be from 4.5 to 5.8 cm. I have high hopes for some real winners from this Taiwanese strain. I expect many to flower this coming Spring/Summer season.
