Phal. amboinensis 'flava' is one of the rarest of the Phalaenopsis species. I'm offering selfings of this color form. The 'flava' form is yellow with darker yellow bars as shown in the picture (used by permission of Peter Lin www.bigleaforchids.com). I have very high expectations from this Taiwanese strain. I expect nicely formed flowers with good size from this strain.
The 'flava' form tends to breed yellow with yellow bars when bred to another 'alba' or 'flavida' forms of Phalaenopsis such as the flava form of Phal. Princess Kaiulani (violacea 'alba' x amboinensis 'flava') which yielded yellows with darker yellow bars.
