This is just about as good a yellow as I've ever seen. Very good form, full and flat with great, firm substance and glossy to chrystalline texture. Many have been solid chartreuse to golden yellow while some have some white around the column. Very similar to Phal. (Brother Golden Potential x Taida Lawrence) x Dtps. Dung Nguyen, but overall, better form. We think so much of this cross, we asked for and was granted permission to name this hybrid after my wife, Pam. This outstanding hybrid was created by Hawaii Hybrids, LLC and we thank them for this honor.
Dtps. Dung Nguyen is proving to be a very valuable parent, producing another bright yellow. Combined with Phal. Bedford Laurent, this cross is yielding bright yellows, some solid yellow, some with white centers as shown below. The yellow color is quite clean and very deep. Form and size has been similar to Phal. Brother Lawrence. The color has been better to my eye, deeper and cleaner. The flower pictured were some of the first to bloom in a flat. I expect the size and substance to improve even further as the plants grow larger. Some of these are very large, well over 7 cm across.
